How bad do you want to be an entrepreneur?

How bad do you want to be an entrepreneur?

Nowadays, it seems that everyone feels stuck in their careers and all they wish to do is a side hustle that will make them tons of money while they will set themselves free from their 9 to 5 job that sucks!

Quite the statement of 2025, is the above line, allow me to say! Everyone is posting videos on Tik Tok and other platforms on how they became an overnight millionaire, showing off screenshots of bank accounts with hundreds of thousands of dollars, meanwhile everyone has a sad story to share, on how they had no money, they lived paycheck by paycheck etc.!

Fine, no problem with that! Do as you like, speak as you like, no judgment here! I just happen to have a question! Or a couple of questions to be honest since you are ready to drop university to become the next Zuck or Elon, or send your resignation to follow your dream!

How ready are you to become an entrepreneur? I mean it seems that today, anyone can become an entrepreneur, having an idea and some cash on the side. Entrepreneurs come in different shapes and forms. All it takes is for you to have the passion and the drive to face the challenges and do whatever it takes to make your dream a reality!

Stop for a second though and ask yourself… “Do I have the persistence, the determination and the gut for hard work, late nights and no social life? Can I take rejection after rejection? Am I open to people correcting my idea? Can I listen to what other people advise me? Can I do marketing? Am I a team player?

Being an entrepreneur is not just a career; it is a choice of a specific lifestyle.

It can become very emotional, time consuming, rejections may come one after the other before you make it, while uncertainty becomes your best friend 24/7. All of a sudden, you are not managed by someone who you call boss, and usually you call many other names, but you are the boss, and you have to manage teams of people who are usually toddlers in adult bodies, throwing tantrums here and there. And sometimes, you need to handle them all at once without losing your temper and logic!

Nevertheless, being an entrepreneur comes along with many great moments, of creativity and profound energy for doing what you love most. You are willing to make a lot of sacrifices to see an idea come to life, that perhaps will change the lives of others in a positive way. The key here is not to let yourself, be put down by multiple negative answers, or by that little voice in your head that tells you all the time “you are crazy for doing this!”. Remember J.K. Rowling was rejected by 12 publishing houses before “Harry Potter” was published and became a movie and an entire franchise that raised generations of people around the world. Take a look at her now! She made it!

I support people with dreams and ideas! I always tell my son that no dream is as big as your own desire to make it happen! Remember, to use your strengths and weaknesses to become better and enhance your skill of patience and smile. You will have to smile at a lot of those big boys with expensive suits that love to tell you that your idea is not good enough! You may be exploding on the inside, but it is essential to keep your smile on the outside! Fake it till you make it kind of thing! Yeasss!

The secret here is to be able to block the noise and the negativity. Be ready to learn and multitask. Be stubborn and decisive and take full responsibility for your decisions and actions as a good leader would do so. As hard as it may seem, if you believe in yourself, your idea, your product, your brand, and you live and swear by it, you can be sure you will make it happen!

But for God’s sake do not, and I repeat do not quit your job unless you are making double the money you are making since ideas, do not quite pay the bills unless they come to life! And your life is very precious, so make sure you live and enjoy it to the most!
